Adopting a friend:If you adopt from the Monroe County Animal Control:
Cat/kitten or dog/puppy: $35.00 sterilization deposit and $10.00 rabies deposit
Rescues that have a 501 (c) (3) status, fees are waved by filing your paperwork with MCAC. If you adopt through Alliance for Spay-Neuter and Pet Rescue
Cat/Kitten: Prices may vary depending on the size, age, and health of the cat/kitten. Dog/Puppy: Prices may vary depending on the size, age and health of the dog/puppy. (Fosters/hours by appointment by contacting the foster parent through e-mail)
*Most of these animals were found as a stray, abandoned, or families who no longer wanted or unable to care for their pet. In our foster homes, they are given the attention, security and socialization with people and other animals. The foster parents get to know the animal and it's personality, which helps in finding a permanent home that is compatible with the animal.
If the animal you are interested in has a cage number such as: Emily/A2 then call the Monroe County Animal Control with their cage # @ 734-240-3125.
If the animal you are interested in does NOT have a cage number then the animal is in one of our foster homes. In order to be considered for adoption for one of the animals in our foster homes you MUST fill out an adoption application in it's ENTIRETY. You will find this application under the forms/applications in the green box located on the left hand side of the web page.
