Jack was a magnificent boy who unfortunately had epilepsy. Jack was very sweet. He loved to snuggle with his mom Mindy. Jack was happiest just being with Mindy. Jack was a great dog who loved everyone and every thing. Jack was truley a blessing and he was blessed in return by finding Mindy. Jack will be missed by everyone who knew him everyday. We are comforted in knowing that he was loved and well take care of by Mindy.

Emily Elizabeth
Emily Elizabeth came in as a stray to the Monroe County Animal Control. Emily Elizabeth was around 7 years old. She was a very sweet girl. When Emily Elizabeth came in she was in very bad shape. She had numerous medical issues along with fleas, parasites and bad skin issues. Emily Elizabeth was transferred to a Westie Rescue of Southeastern Michigan. They got her cleaned up, and feeling a little better. Unfortunately Emily Elizabeth was so sick that there was nothing they could do for her. They spoiled and loved her until her last days. Emily Elizabeth did not live very long after we and they rescued her. It is unfortunate that her previous owners did not take good care of her or ask for help. We would like to thank the Westie Rescue of Southeastern Michigan for their help and taking care of Emily Elizabeth. We would not be able to do what we do without wonderful rescues like them.

Sophia came into the Monroe County Animal Control as a stray. She was heartworm positive, half blind and just a mess. We contacted a wonderful American Eskimo Rescue in Michigan to see if they could help this old girl out. They agreed. The American Eskimo rescue took great care of this sweet girl until it was her time to pass over to the rainbow bridge. We will miss her, but are happy we got to know and take care of her.

Cicely came into the MCAC as a sweet old girl. She was a pure bred German Shorthaired Pointer. She was such a good girl and loved car rides. Cicely was transfered to a German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue to be adopted. Kim her foster mom took her to the vet to be checked out. To Kim and our amazement Cicely was full of cancer. The vet said she was not in any pain and would be okay if Kim just took her home and loved her for her remaining days. Cicely's previous owners just dropped her off at the MCAC because they didn't want to take care of her anymore. She was such a sweetheart and is now definately one of God's angels. We miss her but are comforted in the thought that she was loved by us and Kim in her remaining time.
